All I want for Christmas is a #2xu 😂 #running #runnr #takboph #igrunnersph
A few months ago I was forced by Trish to join the Rexona Run. I ran 5k and she ran 21k. After finishing my run, which took me almost an hour, I decided to watch fellow runners cross their 21k finish line.
I’m jealous. I envy each and every one of them. As everyone knows, I’m a couch potato, a foodie and I’m allergic to sweaty sports. Running would be a big NO for me. But here I am, watching with a green-eyed monster besides me.
Trish finishes her ran. She got a medal, I got bottled water. She got a finisher’s shirt, I got a Gatorade. Her loot bag got more goods than mine. I envy her.
I want those medals and finisher shirts.
I want to run 21k. I know it’s impossible. But I know I can do it. I will do it.
Never at all did I realize how low my self-trust is until I started to run. I didn’t believe in my capacity to finish every run but as I went on and on, I discovered that what I initially thought as impossible, has become possible.
I started with 5k, then I got my first medal and finisher shirt for a 10k run, then now I have one 21k finishers medal and one 21k finishers trophy. After one and a half month, I am happy. Those mere dreams of mine slowly become realities. #takboph #running #igrunnersph #runnerstale #runnr (at Pat’s Labyrinth)
